Biomaterial Exploration

Biomaterial Death Cafe

Hosted with Annabel Cator and Namita Bhatnagar through the Biodesign Collective

We hosted a facilitated conversation on death and decay within a held space, paired with a DIY biomaterial workshop exploring death and regeneration on both micro and macro scales. Participants worked with materials such as alginate, bone meal, glycerine, and found organic matter.

Held at the Dalston Eastern Curve Garden in London, UK

Cyanotype with Native Plants Workshop

For the University of Texas Beekeeping Society

I hosted a cyanotype workshop for the University of Texas Beekeeping Society, beginning with an overview of the chemistry behind cyanotyping and its reliance on sunlight. Participants then created their own prints using objects they brought as well as local flora, forming a connection to the surrounding environment.
